Holiday Inn Pensacola Beach
Innisfree Hotels, Inc. is constructing a 206-room Holiday Inn on Pensacola Beach, valued at $60 million.
The economic impact to the Pensacola area is expected to be significant. The general contractor, Robins & Morton, from Birmingham, AL will hire over 20 subcontractors for the project. Over 500 different tradesmen will participate in the construction of the hotel. According to Dr. Rick Harper, director of the Haas Center for Business Research and Economic Development, the economic impact to the community of the construction work alone will likely be in excess of $40 million.
Upon completion of the Holiday Inn in early 2011, the hotel will employ over 200 people. The hotel will also add another 10,000 square feet of meeting space to the beach’s inventory, brining additional business to Pensacola Beach.
